I Took this from one of my computers, It has XP Home and everything on it from when it was in use. How can i access my folders and transfer stuff to my current rig, and then wipe it, to use for extra storage?

If both drives have the account as Elmntskater1588, you can get the information off no problem, if not, well, I'm not sure there.

Connect it to the current computer, making sure that it is behind your current boot drive in the boot order, then wait for windows to load. If it does not show up in "My Computer" run disk management:
As administrator (or user with the required privileges)
start->run->diskmgmt.msc (or just diskmgmt.msc from the command line)
find the old hdd, assign it a drive letter.

Then you should see it in My Computer. Copy your files and then format with disk management after you're done copying the files.

Yes, it should. You may need to "take ownership" of some folders in order to be able to read the files therein.

Is the drive failing, or just being replaced? You might want to make a copy of it and work from that if it's failing...
