these drive seems to have very high failure rate..

I stay away from it unless you try to fill up it with p0rn, then you can go for it any time..
 
I wouldnt say that these fail at a high rate, i think that was the 7200.11 series, but either way ive had one running for about a year with no problems.

read through the reviews on the newegg page...

it looks horribly bad...
 
I've got two 7200.11's running in a redundancy raid... No errors reported since i set it up with the release of the W7 RC1, with the exception of one error caused by pushing for a higher OC.

Bad stigma, but i've got no problems.
