Anyone know where i can get updated firmware for the 200GB PATA version of this drive?

I am trying to kill this regular off-line scans it performs when its idle.

ITS SO ANNOYING! Loudest thing in my system and its repetitive noise every 30 seconds and drives me nuts. Can I sue seagate for mental distress?
