will a 8600GTS or GT work with the shuttle SD32G2B ?? need a card to run dual monitors on

It should. Are you going to buy the card or do you already have it ? Because if it is not for gaming, I'd recommend something else, like a cheaper Radeon HD 4xxx card or Nvidia Geforce 9500 series. They cost about the same but are newer and use less power.

not for gaming...its gonna be for a music setup to run dual monitors. my main concern is the power since i think my bros shuttle is only like 250w oh also needs dual dvi

Then I'd recommend something like the cheaper passively cooled cards like:

Asus EN9400GT SILENT/DI/512MD2

or

Asus EAH4350 SILENT/DI/512MD2

Both are passive, I just choose Asus because it was the first on the list :) But these cards don't use a lot of power, support multiple screens and still do 3D and video decoding so you got everything you need and they are cheap (30-50$)
