(if this is the wrong forum, i'm sorry, it seemed to make sense to me that it would go here, but i could be wrong)

i'm buying a Sony Ericsson W300i which supports "Memory Stick Micro™ (M2™)"

No, they are 2 different cards and the microSD will not work in your phone. You will want to get something like this instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820171144
