once again Scamdisk sucks... but heres the story, i had a 256MB lexar 32x for my axim which is a nice card but i wanted to go with something a little faster so i can copy movies back and forth. so i went out an bought a sandisk ultra II 512MB SD card. this is hella expensive compared to the 32x lexar. its "supposedly" rated at 60x. this is a total joke.
just for you people unfamiliar with the 1x, 2x, etc, rating
1x = 150KB/s
32x = 4.6875MB/s
60x = 8.7890625MB/s (wow almost 9MB/s!)
here are the benchmarks!
256MB Lexar 32x SD Card (rated at 32x but can do almost 50x)
Scamdisk ultra II SD Card
Generic 128MB SD Card (cheapest one on ebay, its the all blue SD card)
Scamdisk 32MB SD Card
Canon 16MB SD Card (Came with my new sd300
)
Panasonic 16MB SD Card (Came with my Panasonic LC33, good camera but WAY out of date now)
and just for the hell of it, a Danelec 128MB CF card (ebay special)
Absolutly Hilarious! do yourself a favor and dont buy SCAMDISK, it sucks for what you pay. i am going to return the 512UltraII and get a cheaper faster lexar card
