Cool enough for an E6420 at 3.2Ghz, give or take a few Mhz?

Also, I have an HR-05 on the NB and big giant heatsinks on top of the OCZ Reapers.

Should I consider a downward blowing HSF instead?

I'm buying the Scythe for $20, just want to make sure I'm not going to end up throwing good money after bad.

Thanks!

I can't find a solid comparison ANYWHERE between the Scythe Mine Rev. B and the Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro 7.

Any thoughts on which would offer that extra 1-2 degrees of budget cooling? :D

I have a Ninja rev B running on my E6600@3.2GHz with a 1.000RPM fan and it keeps my processor nice and cool (approx. 62C when stresstesting I haven't seen it past 55C under normal use). FYI I think my mounting of the Ninja could be a lot better as one of my friends have an identical setup but runs much cooler than me (around 10C cooler under load).

IMO it's a great heatsink because it cools very well even with low RPM fans. :)

youre buying mine... I can tell you this it kept my opteron170 at 2.7ghz cooled to no more than 41c to 43c under FarCry game playing for hours.. that was in a case that was ambient 36 to 38c. So in my case it kept it about 7c Max over ambient.. ambient is all you can ask for in air cooling :) The only reason im selling it is it wont fit on my p5b without notching a bracket which i didnt want to do with the stress the clips have on them. Not to mention you can not hear the fan at 1200 rpms..nice and quiet shhhhhh
