I have a 320GB WD caviar blue in my 300 right now and it's driving me nuts... Every few mins or so the case starts vibrating pretty loudly and it only stops after I apply pressure to the side of the case... Would this work? How much would it affect temperatures? I like the front 120mm fan blowing cool air in my drive right now, I would lose that if I move it up to a 5.25 bay. Any alternatives available at Amazon, Microcenter or Fry's?

I tried putting some felt pads on the sides of the drive and I think it made it worse...
 
Or you could suspend it with rubber bands... dirt cheap, ghetto, but the best silencer out there, seriously. :D
 
all you need is silicone or rubber grommits between the drive and the cage where the screws are thicker the better, you can get them from heaps of hardware shops.
