I have a 320GB WD caviar blue in my 300 right now and it's driving me nuts... Every few mins or so the case starts vibrating pretty loudly and it only stops after I apply pressure to the side of the case... Would this work? How much would it affect temperatures? I like the front 120mm fan blowing cool air in my drive right now, I would lose that if I move it up to a 5.25 bay. Any alternatives available at Amazon, Microcenter or Fry's?

I tried putting some felt pads on the sides of the drive and I think it made it worse...

If your HD's are screwed in, then I would look for some rubber grommets that go between the screws. It looks like its included in the stabilizer but hard to tell.

Or you could suspend it with rubber bands... dirt cheap, ghetto, but the best silencer out there, seriously.

all you need is silicone or rubber grommits between the drive and the cage where the screws are thicker the better, you can get them from heaps of hardware shops.
