Alright, I just reformatted my computer and reinstalled Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2. After I got all the latest drivers and my usual software installed, I keep on getting this error only once during every session of computer activity.
Now what follows this error is my computer claiming there is no audio device installed, though the drivers are detected for my onboard audio. However, when I click the Volume Control icon in the taskbar, I get this...
