The Atlas would be my last choice in the SCSI disk market. Although that seems like a pretty decent price even for those.

Yes, you would need a SAS controller for this, which can be kind of pricey.

Don't bother with this drive if you are just using it for desktop stuff. It's really not worth it.
 
yeah, i was thinking it wouldnt be worth it especially if i needed a controller
