i have a scsi hard drive and windows wont recognize it (hope i spelled that correctly :p). the adapter is installed, but the drive remains undetected. anyone know whats wrong?

Does the SCSI adapter see the HDD?

If you are using Windows XP. Go in control panel>admin tools>computer management>disk mamagement. Is the drive seen there? If it is do a format and then Windows will see it.

What os are you running if it isn't XP?

im on 98 :(
and the drive reckognizes it becuase i have formatted it from the scsi adapter menu at startup.

try running "fdisk" and see if ithat sees the disk. you may not have created a partition on it, so windows won't recognize it.
