Hi all, I have an old and painful to use scanner that I need a scsi card for. Unfortunately, replacement of the scanner isn't an option ( believe me, nothing would make me happier than to take this scanner out back with a hammer ) as it's extremely expensive and hard to find. The company that sells it doesn't have the greatest grasp of commerce, so it's always a game to actually to talk to a sales rep.
The scsi card that the scanner ships with will blue screen most modern computers running xp/2k. So I need to get a replacement scsi card. Now comes the problem: I need a 50 pin (?) external scsi port, the type that looks identical to a printer port. This too, seems to be something of a joke among hardware vendors, as I am not able to find anything at newegg matching this description. I have googled around a bit and found some alternatives, but if anybody here has a recommendation, I'd greatly apprecaite it.
