SCSI Raid problem

Card identifies as ADAPTEC AIC 7899 in device manager, showing model 3210S in the actual config on the card. 3 Seagate ST373405LW drives, was set up at RAID 0. Long story short, alarm went off, BSOD, couldnt boot, couldnt repair XP install, was able to delete the array and format the drives, but now I get "There are either no RAID capable HBAs or no free devices to create arrays with" when i try to recreate the array. Card shows up in Windows, drives do not. Only the controller itself sees the drives. Dual p4 2.0 xeons on a Supermicro P4DC6+ motherboard. Has a SCSI controller on board but it buts up to part of the case so I have yet to tear it all down to see if they work with the drives. Any ideas folks? Been working on PC's since as long as I can remember and this problems got me stumped :mad:
 
Thats where I'm leaning honestly. If I have to run em as single drives off the MBD thats fine but I really hope all the drives didnt crap out. System was GIVEN to me as the original owner bought a brand new Dell and itw as just sitting in the closet and its been funny ever since I got it. Said he stopped using it because it was acting up so it may simply be 1 bad drive, will be a trip figuring out which one. Card takes forever to initialize and boot :eek:

Yep, no fun at all.

Those 3200 series cards are fucking loud when that alarm goes off.
 
I can imagine, i've got a dpt smartraid in my extra that sounds like a fire alarm when a drive goes down.
