Bought a 15k rpm cheetah to speed up the loading times on some games, just wondering what would be the best solution as far as controller card to get? Been reading up on this forum and got a few ideas, but some last info would be appreciated. Needs to be a PCI slot card. Also, if anyone has a card for sale that can link me to there FS thread that would be awesome.

We have been shipping SCSI based rigs for 20 years. Adaptec is the only controller card that we trust.

You will want to get a card the same speed as the drive if possible. Any PCI SCSI controller should work fine for a single drive through. If the drive is U320 then you will want to get a controller and cable capable of U320 speeds. Also if the drive has an SCA 80 pin connector you will also need to get an SCA to 68 pin adapter.

Hmm, not just to be a contrarian here, but I'd trust LSI cards without any qualms, and I'm intimitely familiar with SCSI stuff.. ;)

Indeed, LSI/AMI stuff is like a gazillion times better than Adaptec.
OP, just get whatever you find on ebay that's compatible with your OS.
