Centronics is fine. As long as it takes 50 pin ribbon on the inside,

It's not cheap but maybe return after using for a minute: https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-UNIT...t/dp/B01NAUIA6G/ref=sr_1_6?crid=1OAUDYGK67172

My first HD was 160 MB in a Performa 600CD. Good luck! In case you are using it for such things, MacDrive worked great to read a couple backup CD-R from my Powermac days.

Good luck!
That won't work since he has a SCSI drive.
I might have a SCSI box in the attic, I'll take a look when I get up later today.

just stumbled on this video,

is this something you can use or does the setup you are using requires using the drive externally in a scsi box?

The cheapest way would be to pick up a 5.25 bay SCSI mobile rack off ebay for $15. You can use it in a computer case with a SCSI card, or use it externally by hooking up a DB-25 adapter (~$10) to the 50-pin ribbon connection. I have one that I use with some of my non-networked retro computers to transfer files/images to a modern PC.

A DC power brick to 4-pin molex.

As for pictures, I currently have it in storage.. but here's what it looks like.

^--to make it look 'pretty' you can throw it a standard 5.25" external enclosure.

with this on the back:

Really you don't even need the caddy.. you can just plug that connector in to the back of the drive and plug in molex 4-pin power and do the same thing. I just have the caddy because it is convenient to hot swap drives in and out of machines that way.
