Iv alwase run dual monitors using a CRT and my open laptop at work. I just upgraded to a LCD monitor and it seems i have something set seriousaly wrong.

Whenever i raise my resololution above 1024x768 on the LCD it dosent fit to the screen and as i move my mouse around the screen it scrolls.

What am i doing wrong?

-I did install the new Samsung LCD drivers.
-ATI mobility radion 9200
-I tried searching for it but dont know what this "feature" is called.

your LCD only supports up to 1024x768. Beyond that, you have to scroll around to see other parts of the screen. Its normal and no settings you can adjust since you simply can't force your LCD to display an image beyond its native res. without scrolling

That cannot be correct. When hooking the same monitor (Samsung SyncMaster 213t ) up to a desktop PC it goes very high.
It is a 1,600 by 1,200-pixel panel.

Re-install the ATI drivers. Sometimes that has to be done when getting a new screen.

I reinstalled the latest video drivers. I can now set the resalution to 1280 x1024 which is workable. But i still cannot set it to the...
Optimum resolution 1600 x 1200@60Hz
Maximum resolution 1600 x 1200@60Hz

I dont even see 1600 as a option. Could the video card possably not support that resalution?
