screwed up my psu

so i got a new video card in and just decided to clean up my whole case before installing it.
i had the wires of the power connector on the upper portion of my case, towards the back of the psu. .
After unplugging the connector, i yanked out the connector only to find out the wires were still tucked in that corner of my case.
Pulling even harder, i managed to get out all the wires!!
only problem is i seem to have cut about 5 wires on the power connector in half
one gray wire, 2 blacks and 2 red.
im scared as fuck to even try to reconnect those wires and use tape on it.
is there anyway of fixing this?


in the meanwhile i ordered this psu and should be here wednesday

(practise on some scrap wire a few times ;)

the minimal investment in a soldering iron and multimeter are well spent
 
thanks ice but that sounds like a little bit too much to do
i will probably be giving this away pretty soon for free
 
like so many things describing a physical process seems overly complex
imagine the page of instructions youd read to describe riding a bicycle
(hell just imagine counter-steering as a description, something most people are unaware they are doing even as adults when they ride a bike)


in short its far easier than it sounds :p
 
just an update for you guys

this rosewill psu is pretty nice
its all sleeved black and the 2 uv fans are pretty quiet when cranked down

+5v is 4.98
+12v is 12.05
3.3v is 3.30

runnin 2.98 on ram
1.8 on cpu
1.7 chipset voltage

and these things barely move when under full prime load
the voltages still stay the same
