I have an Abit NF7-S.

Was changing the FSB and Multiplier, saved and reseted. Then that normal red screen comes up and says WARNING DO NOT SHUT OFF ..... I moved my stupid leg and hit the power swich on my surge protector. Then end. I'm Dead! Is there anywhere I can buy a new BIOS for this board? Thanks
 
Tried it man, NOTHING!!!!! I'm so retarted! I just moved the surge protecter 3 feet from me.
 
If you go to Abit's site, they have a link to another site called Excalibur. You can buy one there.
 
i just checked abits site, it links me to pcexcalibur's site. 16$ + 5$ for shipping that tiny ass chip that wieghs no more then a nickel! WTF! Thanks, if worse comes to worse i'd have to get it.

I just remembered, I screwed up my DFI LanParty NFII board bad also. I still have the BIOS chip on that one, would it be possible to use that chip on the Abit NF7-S ?

DFI BIOS CHIP = Winbond W39V040AP 23246840-0Z1 333GGAA

Abit NF7-S BIOS (Dead one) = PMC Flash MHGWL 0401 Pm49FL004T-33JC

If it is possible, is there a certain way the chip should be set on or anyway should work? On my DFI Bios theres a smudge of orange on one end and on the Abit theres nothing.
 
Have you tried making a floppy with a compatible bios for the motherboard? Same thing happened to me, so I hopped on another comp, made a floppy and everything worked out fine.

But I had to make the floppy twice, it didnt work the first time for some reason.

I'm not fimiliar with what you are saying. How does this work. I turn on the computer and theres no video at all. Could you please explain how to do this or a link to how its done. Thanks!
