Screensaver Annoyance

Whenever my screensaver comes on and I move my mouse, I return to my desktop, but the display goes to black for a second and then back to the desktop, not unlike when I reboot and explorer.exe is loaded. How can I get the black screen to stop happening? I just want the screensaver to go back to the desktop without another black screen.

I recently updated my display drivers, but I uninstalled the previous ones and disabled antivirus.
