Screen Tearing Questions

So I finally got my new eyefinity setup complete and up and running

I tested out some games and I have minor tearing on games and video on just the monitor with the displayport, the other two monitors are hooked up with two dvi's

My question is should I wait till the MST hubs come out to solve the problem, or is it possible to buy another 6950 and hook them all up DVI ports? would that solve the problem?

Does Vsync not work?
Have you tried a different DP or DVI cable for the adapter?
Is the adapter is plugged into USB?
What adapter are you using?

Yes, you can buy a second 6950 and hook all of the monitors up to DVI, but you can not use Crossfire and you can not make an Eyfinity group with the monitor on the second card. So it is pretty pointless for what seem to want to do.

yes and tripple buffering to keep it from dropping half your refresh rate.

Already have vsync enabled with triple buffer, and it works pretty good for games, its still there but very minor I just notice things like this pretty easy

Why wouldnt I be able to crossfire another card and use that monitor?

My main problem is if Play a video on the DP monitor I get tearing all over the place how could i fix that?

Have you tried hooking the adapter up to a different monitor? Not sure what it could really be if VSYNC+Triple buffering is on and you are using an approved adapter.

When you crossfire, I believe only the primary card's outputs are active. That's why they made some cards with 5-6 display outputs on one card, so you could crossfire them and have a bunch of outputs for massive eyefinity setups.

vsync is enabled by default for most apps inside windows. Besides movies are displayed at a constant fps, usually 24fps, and usually pull down or blank frames are used to match the refresh rate.
Try the standard driver wipe and reinstall and if you are still getting tearing like this you should talk to the card makers and or adapters tech support to see if they can help or RMA the card or adapter. If possible try to borrow a different Eyefinity capable card or adapter and see if the problem persists.

Well I dont think anythings defective because i can set different main displays and it will do it on different displays on different ports. I always thought this was a known problem with the ATI cards because it is using two different kind of inputs DP and DVI. It is barley noticable and is ok for games, I was just wondering if there is anyway to reduce the tearing while playing video on the screen that has slight tearing. If i move it to the other monitors its fine, just on the one that is not set as the default display.

I am tempted to get this card since it has all display ports
