screen stutters when entering main program

I have purchased DOOM3 and installed it using a 2.7G machine with 512M memory and a 64M onboard video card. Installation went OK but when i load and run the program, the picture is not smooth running. it jumps as if in slow motion. (Frame by frame almost). My other video games are OK so it must be a setting on my game or machine. any ideas?

This is a forum for help and feedback about the forum. This belongs in displays or video cards or maybe even game forum. Welcome to the forum but please read all the rules before posting. Also take some time to browse the forums and see where other people are posting this type of question.
 
Are you talking about when loading a save or first starting the game? Mine does that too for a few seconds and then smooths out...I think this is common with Doom 3.
 
i believe, from the replies, that i put this in the wrong 'forum'. Being new here, i did not realize, or figure out, where my request went. If it can be moved, by the administrator, great! Sorry for the mistake!

its your onboard video try 640x480 Low and see if it runs ok..if not you def need to get some kind of video card upgrade going..

Lol...didn't catch that the first read...he may be the first person to attempt to run Doom 3 with onboard video. :eek: :p
