Screen Size vs. Pixel Pitch?

I would buy...

  • A 20" with .25 pixel pitch (1680x1050 res)

Ok, so I am looking to buy a new monitor, and I am thinking of either an Acer 20" @ 1680x1050 or a 22" at 1680x1050. The 22" costs $5 more, which is fine, but I am concerned about the pixel pitch. The 20" is a .25pp while the 22" is a .28. I have a Samsung right now that is .285 and the pixel pitch is noticeable to me. So I thought I might post a thread and ask what other people here thought?

22" 1920x1080 0.248 pp.

22" 1680x1050 is ok for gaming, but for text it's little too big, but I would still get it just because it's better (bigger) for gaming.

If you have the space, bigger screen size is better.

Ok, I also just found the 21.5" Acer H213H which is cheap enough and 1920x1080, .25pp. The problem is, I wouldn't be able to run games with my underpowered video card (X800XL). Should I just get the higher res and suffer with turning the other settings down in my games?
