Screen shots in Gnome?

Guys, I am using Gnome 2.6 and was wondering how I can capture a screen shot of my desktop and post it on the web?

I usually use Gimp and do File -> Aquire -> Screenshot. I set to to capture the whole screen in 5 seconds and then minimize it. Of course, that might be the difficult way .

GNOME comes with a screenshot function already

if you goto the menu, there should be a screenshot option, or just pres "print screen" and the smae printscreen dialog box pops up
