Hey i know for pdas and stuff have screen protectors. Do they make these for lcds like 15ins at a cheap price? Something to come between peoples fingers and the screen thats all.....

i too hate when people come over and have them for some apparent reason touch my lcd screen..... but yeah, ive found some..... a little pricy, from $20-$150.... http://www.bizrate.com/buy/products__cat_id--46018,keyword--Lcd Screen Protector.html .... not worth the money though, unless u have a really nice(by nice i mean a lot of money) lcd monitor and have lots of people comming over to ur house.. but yeah, theres the link
 
Also want to try and find one that has glare resistance.. Afterall, that's one of the major Pro's to LCD monitors, you don't have to close the curtains on the windows to play Doom 3.. (although I would suggest it anyways)

I've never heard of that for LCD's. But then again I never looked :0)
If all you want is some protection then use a piece of acrylic sheet (plexiglas). The stuff is durable and can be polished even after it is scratched. You will get some glare like the previous poster warned, but it's not too bad for me- see the pic below.
You could mask the window from the inside and paint the black border, and use self-adhesive industrial tape on the LCD bezel behind that paint to hold it on there. It will cost you around $20 for the acrylic, spray paint, nice quality masking tape, and the self-adhesive strips. If you want some help with designing the window and all I will help you out no charge. just email me @ zeusenergy@comcast.net

Is that a viewsonic monitor zeus....on the table.. which model is it... can you tell me.. how is the picture quality and performance...:??

Yah, its an A75f. Its quite old now, I think I got it in late 1999 or early 2000. It works great and everything, especially for its age! Pic quality is great and this one is a trinitron style flat crt. I paid big $ for it back then, around $300 on sale! Today you can get the same tube for $150.
 
Im actually looking for a friend of mine whos a teacher and just got some new computers w/ lcds. They wouldnt be so worried but the lcd is attatched so replacing the monitor would be a pain. That and they love having decent pcs and dont want to mess them up.

Ugh! Delicate PCs and students dont mix well. Especially the young kids! I have no idea how to make it work then. I guess those simple screen shields (glare reduction ) would work wonders if they stay on the screens.
