Every mobile device i have (cellphone, media player, etc.) has a screen protector put in. It's those thick plastic things you stick on the cover to keep it from getting scratched.

I'm gonna be getting a kp500 phone soon and i'm wondering if it's advisable to put one on it too. Is a touchscreen lcd resistant enough that it won't need one? The kp500's touchscreen isn't as sensitive compared to the other phones according to the reviews to begin with and i'm wondering just how much it'll affect the phone if i actually put a barrier on it.

If it'll affect the touchscreens performance, i'll opt for a silicon cover instead and get the edges raised to atleast protect the screen.

Just got the kp500. You know the soft rubbery plastic that initially covers your gadget when you take it out of the box to protect the shiny surfaces, and then you have to peel off to see the screen clearly? The one that came with the kp500 *IS* a screen protector. I didn't even notice it at first. I won't be peeling this off 'til next year i guess ^_^
