Screen locking up

Earlier this month I built a new system. Everything seemed to be going ok until I ran Prime95. The screen locked up and the system was totally unresponsive. The same thing happens when I run the NVidia system stability test and has happened a couple times when I have been away from my computer or just doing everyday stuf...i.e. internet explorer, email etc. I can play games without incident for unlimited amount of time. Last time I posted this problem on here people sugeested it sounds like a ram issue so I created a memtest bootdisk and have let it run several times for several hours and have come up with no errors... Any suggestions? Thanks.
