Screen corruption when crossfire enabled

Last night my 5770 xfire setup started corrupting the screen when in fullscreen 3D. I popped the cards out checked them over and tested each one and both tested fine in single mode, so I tried rolling back the driver, still same issue when in crossfire mode.
If you alt-tab out the screen goes normal for a few secs then back to corrupt.

I am thinking it is either a bad pcie slot or a toasted CF bridge, but I can't confirm that yet.

Any other idea of things to try?
