i have seen products that are supposed to let you buff out scratched lcds... do they work?

is this the same thing that you can use for glasses and sunglasses and stuff?
just some liquid that you apply over? i wouldn't put too much faith in them.

its got a abrasive that 'smooths out the edges' and it has a clear filler that 'fills in the scratch'

Most scratch removal products will destroy the anti-glare coating on LCD panels, which means instead of a scratch you'll have a very shiny area on the LCD panel. Not a worthy tradeoff, IMHO.

Depends how deep that scratch is....

I had these things that looked like little scratches on my laptop's LCD. I bought some Kensington Surface Guardian lint free wipes and screen cleaner.

I sprayed some of the solution on the wipes and carefully wiped the sceen down, did it a couple of times and now the "scratches" appear to have dissappeared.

Might be worth a shot if that's all you are dealing with on your screen.

i can actually feel the bump when i run my finger nail on the screen and it looks really scratched to me :(
