Hi everyone! today I am going to talk a little about the Scout 2. I was lucky enough to get my hands on one to show you this awesome case. I took a few pics to give you a better view of what you'll get for a great price which is just $99 . Ok so lets get down to business.

The overall appearance of this case grabbed me. The look is sleek and has a newly designed handle on top. I wasn't a big fan of the first Scout because of the cooling capabilities but this one looks to have a lot better cooling options.

The side panel has a small window to see your hardware and 2 x 120mm fan ports for gpu cooling.

Now lets see the top and ports. As you can see CM has added one more fan up top for cooling. There is enough room for a 240mm radiator if you are into watercooling. This area also has this removable cover maybe so you can mount a radiator or fans up top. One of the things I really like is simple ports on the front of a case and the Scout 2 has that. It has audio, 2 x USB and 2 x USB 3.0, with a little door to hide them away. There is also the power, reset and fan LED switch up top, now if we can only get CM to come out with more fan options to support this. Hint, Hint!!

On the back you can see this area hasn't changed much except the USB lock down expansion slot and CM added 2 x round grommets for an external radiator is my guess.

In front you will see that it has room for 2 x 120MM fans versus the Scout only had room for one fan. Now CM had to take away two 5.25in drive bays but who needs more than 3 in this size case anyway? I would rather have the cooling options than the 2 x 5.25in bays.

The inside they have the nice grommets for cable management and there looks to be a little more room here, but I could be wrong it may be the same. Not sure of the looks on the inside from the old Scout but I did notice all the front panel wires are black which is nice. I also see that you can mount a fan to the top portion of the hard drive cage and CM added a fan area to the floor. Since we are on the fan subject CM has tried a different approach by only including one fan with this case. I think the idea behind this is because every user likes their case a certain way, some like their pc quiet and others, like myself hardly ever use the stock fans. So it's up to the users needs and wants.

Now to the back of the motherboard area. There seems to be adaquate space for wire management which is a plus. I also noticed a few spots you can ziptie your wires to for a real clean look.

Now me being a modder of sorts I have seen quite a few different cases. This one is growing on me for many different reasons, first and foremost, the sleek and elegant look of the case in general. Second would be the hanldle up top because I travel to A LOT of Lan parties and this will come in handy, but the best part of the handle it doesn't look like one, but rather just blends right in and goes with the look of the case. So with that said I think its time for me to mod this case!!! I hope this little in depth look of the Scout 2 helps anyone who had any questions about buying one. I say a definite buy if you are in the market!! Thanks again. Until next time............

I wish they'd make a black and red one. Please CM, please make a black and red one :(.

Black primary color, with red highlights on the handle/input tray. The mesh could be white.... I can see myself buying this thing just to paint up and have fun with!

Or rather, some sort of customized creation station on the CM website, where you can choose colors on each of the main components, pay $X extra for the custom paint?

Great pics! I was considering this case at some point, but I think I've outgrown the "gamer" case and I'm really loving the Corsair 550D and Bitfenix Ghost. I think the grey version of the Scout II looks better than the black though.
