This is my second time posting about this here, and wanted to try one last time before I have to RMA this mother. The program really disgusts me because it prejudices ATI cards.

When I bought my monitor in May with my first 939 rig build and a X1900XTX, the DVI worked beautifully until 3 or 4 weeks later it stopped working. I have no idea or recall making mistakes into frying the DVI on the monitor. I tested the monitor's DVI on Radeons 9500 pro, 9800 pro, X850XT, X1800XT and XTX. All show the same thing.

Problem is the DVI works great on all Nvidia cards I've tested it on. (FX 5500, AGP 6800, and a friend's 6600GT) The biggest question is why won't it work with ATI drivers? The symptoms are when DVI is plugged to any PC with an ATI card, it shows POST screen fine, and the Windows XP loading screen, but as soon as it finishes loading and Windows is starting up all the drivers, the screen goes blank. This makes absolutely no sense. I think my monitor has formed a natural hatred for ATI drivers. It really makes me sick.

Anyone have any insight on this?

Ok, first of all I don't have a Sceptre monitor or an ATI card but I feel sorry for you so I'll try to help. :p This was stolen from a post in the Gateway 24" thread and I thought it might be relevant and worth a shot:

"You should try the following:

Change the DVI settings in the ATI Catalyst Control Center. The setting is under the Digital Panel Properties setting. Try checking and un checking the DVI settings "Reduce DVI frequency on High Resolution Displays" and "Alternate DVI operational mode".

Does it also happen when you are not in clone mode?

Have you upgraded to the most current Catalyst version (6.11)?"

Lol, thanks for trying, though.

Although I would try to get in the digital panel settings in CCC, but unfortunately, while I'm on VGA the option doesn't show up in there. I have to be plugged to DVI in order to have the digital panel options to show up in CCC. Yes, this has been tried with 6.5 until 6.11.
