SBS 2003 Client Deployment Install Failure

I'm doing a fresh install of SBS 2003 and I'm getting the error that it cannot install the Client Deployment service. The errors in the log are as follows:

[09/20/05,04:17:34] Client Deployment: [2] Failed to set DACL to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Windows Small Business Server\ClientSetup\Clients [1]
[09/20/05,04:17:34] Client Deployment: [2] Failed to set DACL to C:\ClientApps [1]
[09/20/05,04:34:35] Client Deployment: [2] Error copying service packs with error [0].

Any thoughts?? I've double checked the permissions on the folders and everything seems to be in order. Neither continuing setup nor going into the add/remove porgrams allows me to continue past this point, I receive the same error both ways.

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Did you change the default installation path for Sharepoint MSDE ?

No, I accepted default values throughout the install.
