***to save time, you can skip to the astricks below if you might happen to know the answer :D

i just got my shuttle (SB65G2), set everything up (2.6ghz p4, crucial pc4000 512mb, geforce fx5900XT, and soundblaster live 5.1 soundcard), sound works great w/o the soundblaster drivers. however, i install the soundblaster drivers and sound doesn't work at all from either the integrated or soundcard. so i uninstall the SB drivers and tried installing integrated sound drivers again. Now, my sound doesn't work at all even after installing the integrated sound drivers..??????

whenever i try to play something in winamp, it says, "Bad DirectSound driver. Please install proper drivers or select another device in configuration. Error code: 88780078"


***when i go into the volume control, it says there are no active mixer devices available...i'm not sure where to get a mixer device for my shuttle... plz help me
