Well, short story is purchased the card from BB. Installed the card, the machine saw the card, I installed the drivers and all teh applications from the CD it was shipped with. Rebooted, sound is louder...

Now when I go to launch any of the creative applications, I get hit with one of 2 errors:
"There are no supported audio device available. You need to close the application..."
"The audio device supported by this application may not be present or may be operating in an upsupported mode. You need to close the application."

I am running Windows 7 x64 Ultimate, the sb driver installed is 3.037 version from their webiste. I also tried the 3.035 version and that does not work. I tried to install the product ID file from creative, but that spits out an error of: "Your version of Windows Operating System is not supported by this product. Please upgrade to Windows 7 or later versions before resuming installation." WTF!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! :eek::confused::(:mad:

Now bear in mind that I do hear sound from my headphones. Clear as a bell. My microphone works as well. My device manager shows the Soundblaster X-Fi HD. My system profiler also shows the same product.

ANyone have any clue as to what this could be? I know that creative has shitty driver support,,,but this really takes the cake.

Yeah had the same issue with my original Titanium.

Start>run>Services.msc

I think it's under windows audio or windows audio endpoint (I forget which man, I am sorry). Make sure the service isn't stopped.
The services stops sometimes or never start period. Just make sure it's set to "automatic" and not "automatic delayed start". Check it by right clicking, and going to properties. There is a drop down there somewhere for the setting. I am at work on an XP machine, and can't give an exact answer.

HOPE that works man.

That being said...I know you probably know this. Uninstall everything. Driver cleaner. Install from DISC, and not their site. Use their auto updater to get everything up to date.

Way to at least try and help the gentleman out guys.
 
Driver cleaner should (hopefully) take care of this. I'm also having issues with my card, but my Windows installation is probably at fault (I've used the same install with a Forte, a Home Theater HD, Xonar Essence STX and now a Titanium HD). I cannot access the audio panel to changes modes (I get an error about some missing components). BTW, was the perspex cover scratched when you received the card? Mine looks like some idiot cleaned it with sandpaper.

Saw the same thing at Best Buy when I was looking at the card today. Looks like something heavy was stacked on the cards during shipping as the front of the box shares the same scratches that were on the perspex cover.

Nice... A simple removable protective plastic could have avoided this. :rolleyes:
 
Here's my install path for X-Fi Titanium HD on Windows 7 x64.
1) Install the driver from the included CD ( Feb 2010? )
2) Reboot
3) Install the beta driver from the web site ( XFRL_PCDRVBETA_US_3_00_0037.exe )
4) Reboot

After that the card works fine, no issues so far.
 
I have done the CC Cleaner and driver sweeper thingy...As I had my old SB X-Fi in there. Deleted all the files...No go...

I also did a full uninstall of the old software. Booted into safe mode, did CC CLeaner and Driversweeper, booted normally, installed str8 from the CD, but the same thing....I get sound and the microphone working, but I cannot get to the advanced features...
 
Why do sound card companies have such a hard time getting sound cards that work with Vista/7? I constantly hear people complain about issues and I can't believe we're still having them. One reason I'm sticking with my onboard sound.
 
Me too, don't even have to install a driver for my Asus Realtek HD onboard sound on two MBs I have in either Vista or Win7 as Microsoft has drivers built in already. I have to install a driver and service for my EMU 0404 USB but those drivers are very lightweight and never an issue.
 
I got so fed up with my X-Fi card with drivers and all I pulled it out and I'm using my onboard sound. I'm in the process of building a new X58 based system and the one thing I left out is any sound card. I'm going to go with the onboard.

Personally, I would rather spend money on an exsternal DAC or Receiver than an internal soundcard ever again. Just feed the DAC from your mb vi coax or optical and "Bob's your uncle".
 
Good luck with that thing. I had the same problem you're having plus my card would randomly go bananas and my speakers would sound like terrible feedback (high pitched squeal) until I turned off the computer and restarted it. I went back to my Audigy 2ZS because I couldn't handle using the X-fi with those issues.
