Hey guys,
Not looking to start a war, but im really interested in this. Im wondering where the threshold is for the Clock speed advantage of Sandy vs. the increased IPC of IvyBridge and further on Haswell?
It seems with both of these two newer gen Processors, the OC headroom has been lowered and temps have gone up? (Damn cheap TIM) I know IPC has increased, and there are some fancy new instruction sets/features.
But really Im wondering if a SB at 4.8 vs IB at 4.6 vs HWL at 4.4 equal out for many tasks? Im trying to discern average clocks here, there are always going to be golden chips. What do you guys think, or has anyone ran across a review highlighting this?
