Joined up and saw the folding so started. Got a few WU's done so far and hope for alot more in the future.

Hello, fine recruit to the [H]orde, what rank will you be starting off as? Joining as a Levyman, warbandman or a swordsman? Aiming for a higher rank, start getting in better weapons i.e more boxen.

1, work and play box, a64 3500 @ 2.4 ghz, 1024 ram, will run as long as not interfear with other stuff
2, secound system a64 3200 @ 2.2, 512 ram, will run full time on here
3, third system sempron 2600@ 2.1 ghz, 512 ram, does home shares and that sort of stuff but will run full time
4, work horse, xp 1900, 512 ram, run full time as long as not interfear with other stuff
 
The best suggestion to be made in this instance, is look to the console "text-only" client. It is very good about giving up cycles to any other application that requests it, and if you get the beta 5.04 version from Stanford, it is very good at also capping memory.

That tends to be the defacto recommendation around here, but it most certainly fits your situation to a T.

Also, if these are also WinXP machines, we've got scripts in the forums for shutting the client off when you need that extra oomph to get the job done.
 
3 are xp and 1 is server 2003.

pointer to the scripts will be great and any other info on there setup sounds great.
