Saving webpage for offline viewing?

A google search for this didn't turn up much except programs I would need to pay for.

So, our situation is that we have a former employee who signed a non-compete agreement and has since started his own business which could be considered competition. He has a website setup for this business, and we would like to save the website and burn it to a CD or something similar.

I have tried using the "Save As" feature in IE and Firefox, but that doesn't really do anything except save the page I'm currently viewing, and it doesn't save it well, ie: some things are missing.

What I need to do is download the ENTIRE website in a form that all images, scripts, forms, and both internal and external links work offline.
Any ideas?

I have a program installed at home that does exactly that but I don't know the name and as such will not be able to offer a suggestion until later today.
 
How big is the site? I assume it is too big to do a "Save As.." on each page... :)


Try pointing your favourite FTP tool at the site and see what you get? You should get at least most of the public file structure, and then mark up all the files for download in one hit.

For example, I use Net Transport (http://www.xi-soft.com/) and that can navigate a whole site quite quickly, allowing you to mark everything up for download.

Depends how well he has locked up his site. :D

Not exactly "phorensic" proof though. So you may also want to install a PDF Printer or take a pile of screen shots to grab the pages in the form you viewed them.
