Saving Firefox profiles?

Is this possible to save my profile from one computer and transfer it to my new computer? I really don't want to re-bookmark everything. I can't even remember half of my username/passwords for things, so I'd really like my cookies saved too.

i used it for the first time a couple weeks ago when i reformatted and it worked without a hitch. scroll down the page to see the instructions for backing up and restoring.

You can also just copy your firefox folder (in application data) from old computer onto new computer. I do this all the time and I also make backup copies by just copying the folder. When I upgraded to Vista all I had to do was install firefox, then replace the application data folder with my old one, then the first time I started firefox everything was the same. Previous session, bookmarks, cookies, etc.

If you're using XP the path would be
Documents and Settings\username\application data\mozilla\firefox
