Sata2 vs sata 150

i read somewhere that sata2 is double the speed of 150 is this true? also do they make sata2's with 16mb of cache yet?
 
Like the user above me said, ideally yes, and yes they do make SATAII drives with 16MB of cache. I'm sure if you get a SATAII drive you won't regret getting it over a regular SATA drive of the same type.
 
Drives supporting the 3Gb/s protocol can theoretically send and recieve data at 300MB/s. However, in practice, due to spindle speed and other such limitations, they do not. Each drive only transfers at 60-80MB/s. Now, the cool part about so called "SATA-II" (Marketing term) drives is this... If you have three drives trying to transfer at 80MB/s, they cannot do that with "SATA-I". They're limited by the 150MB/s bus speed. However, with "SATA-II", they can do it, and not have any problems.
