Hey guys, my Operating system (wins XP) was jsut currupted a few minutes ago, good thing check disk was able to recover it..anyways...So I was just unplugging the sata cables etc..and when I put it all back, my windows was currupted..is there any reason how his could happened? is it because the sata cables are bad or wut? thnx

well did you unplug the SATA cables while it was running?....that could be a way it could get corrupted! :D
um....other than that...i dont see any reason why it would be corrupted....virus maybe?

Serial ATA drives can get corrupted by their controllers running at sky high bus frequencies or errors in OC'd RAM that get propogated to disk. BTW, running chkdsk on a potentially corruption infiltrated system can be VERY bad - it may think that the entire disk is supposed to be corrupt (right in it's flawed perception) and wreck the whole file system on the drive. Revert to stock BIOS settings before attempting such a recovery. A 5GHz P4 doesn't run chkdsk any faster than a 3GHz, presuming the storage interface and devices are the same anyway.
