What are they?

Will the sata ports on my mobo HERE be the limiting factor?

You need a computer made within the last 6 or so years and you will be fine.

A little with the newest SSDs however remember the main power of an SSD is its access time, IOPS ... These will not be limited that much by a SATA II interface.
 
well, they are prefered to be used in AHCI mode obviously, and depending on the drive Sta II vs Sata III otherwise known as 6gbp/s it really depends on the drive being used, example, some of the OCZ, Crucial M4 lose about half their read/write over a sata II interface vs using it in sata 3 mode, 280mb vs 500, however, 280mb is still super fast, so will you be held back some, for sure, will it matter much, probably not, it will still have very low latency, stil have very good read/write and as the other said IOPS will still be quite high, so the "loss" in performance probably will nto matter much.

Course there is plenty of fast "native" sata II SSD out there that will get 99% of thier actual speeds, vs the drives built to use sata 3 which do suffer when used over sata II.
