SATA/Raid Problems

Hey guys,

I pretty much rewired my entire computer over these past couple days. Everything went fine and it looks great. I did a lot of wire management, and I am pleased with how it turned out. I'll post some pics later. But first, I have a problem.

Motherboard is an ASUS A8V Deluxe

I have one 120gb HHD. I believe it was set up in Raid 0. I'm pretty sure it shouldn't be in Raid 0, but it was. Anyway, I plugged the SATA cable back in and went to boot the computer up, but of course it doesn't recgonize and hard drives.

I press tab to go into the raid array utility and it says:

Serial_Ch0 Master No Drive
Serial_Ch1 Master No Drive

It has a bunch of options to the right but it won't let me select anything, it will only let me exit.

When it comes to the Scanning IDE Drives part it says:

No drives attached to fast track controller, the bios is not installed.

Then it comes to a stop at No hard drive detected
Press F1 to resume

Do that and then it wants me to instert boot media.

So I was going to reformat anyway, so I inserted my XP cd and loaded that up, pressed F6 to load my Raid drivers, went through all that jazz and when I press enter to install XP, it says that it can't find a HHD and to press F3 to exit.

I looked in the BIOS and it wasn't listed there either.

I changed out SATA cables to see if maybe that was the prob, but nope. So i'm stumped.

Is it not recgonizing it because something is wrong physically or maybe it's a driver issue or maybe i'm totally missing something. The only thing I did really was unplug the drive and plug it back in after a couple days. I wouldn't think that it would be affected adversley.

Any suggestions would be wonderful.

Alrighty, nevermind, I found the source of the problem...the SATA cable was plugged in, however the other PSU cable was not...I feel like a douche. I think I have used up my idiot card for the year...lets see if I can salvage this...

I have one drive in SATA. Should I ditch the SATA and go with the molex?
 
How do you have one hard drive set up in raid 0? You need two...

you can use either or, but not both. if you use both connection on the same drive at the same time, you will kill it.
