I'm in the process of combining my always-on server and my NAS to a single Windows Server box. I'm looking for a PCI-E RAID card that will handle four SATA drives and offer RAID5 as an option. I have an old HighPoint RocketRAID card, but it is only a 3GBps model.

Any suggestions for an add-in card that won't break the bank?

It isn't my biggest concern. It would be nice to utilize the 6Gbps speed of the drives, but reliability is the primary concern. I had come across the 9260-4i in my searching. Thanks!

Thanks for the recommendation. I just purchased a 9260-4i with SAS cable for $40 on eBay. That should do the trick.

Thanks for the tip! As of now, it will be going in a Carbide 240 that should keep it relatively cool.
