Unfortunately, the 74GB Raptor does not support SATA II. (Or, more specifically, it will run only in SATA-150 mode on a SATA II controller.) This is because the Raptor (in its current form) is not a native SATA hard drive, but rather a bridged PATA-to-SATA drive. Second, SATA II absolutely requires true NCQ (Native Command Queuing) - not TCQ (Tagged Command Queuing) - support in the drive.

Oh, by the way, Ultra/150 command queuing is Western Digital's roundabout way of claiming TCQ (not NCQ) support.
