i just put together a new pc. this is my first time installin on a sata drive. after installation i get an icon in my sys tray that says i can safetly remove my hd. is there a way to get rid of that? am i missing drivers? any ideas?

This is just a guess, as I have no experience with SATA yet.

SATA is supposed to be Hot-swapable. I would assume that the icon you're speaking of is just there to tell you that the drive has cleared it's write cache and can be safely removed from the computer.

edit: Unless of course, it's your boot drive, in which case it shouldn't give you an option to swap it out.. ;)

Yea this is my boot disk. It gives me the option to remove my C: drive. Weird...
