I have a DFI LanParty .. and a Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe

I bought the Asus board from a member here .. and the DFI board locally ..

I never got the SATA driver disk for the Asus ..and was wondering if the one I have from the DFI board will work ..

thanks for your help

Does the DFI board use the same Silicon Image SATA controller.
If it does it might work but I would say probably not.
By driver disk do you mean the CD a floppy to use while
installing XP (F6). There is a program on the CD to create a
driver floppy. Also any driver you need can be downloaded
from the Asus web site. You could also try the Silicon Image
web site.

Yes, try the Silicon Image web site. They have all the drivers there for your controller. The web site is: www.siliconimage.com and then click on Products, then click on Storage Software then look under Serial ATA for the product you own and it will take you to the download page.

thanks for the responces .. I see that my DFI is a Silicon controller .. and the Asus is a Promise .. I will have to find the promise drivers
