Jump from ATA-100 to Sata 150, or wait a few months for Sata 300?

I have two 60gb ATA-100 Barricuda IV's with 108 games installed, all of my music and 64% hard drive space free on both drives so I'm not in need of space. It feels like going to sata now would be like going from a Geforce 3 to a Geforce 3 Ti500. I'd rather go from a Geforce 3 to a Radeon 9800XT as far as the hard drives go.
 
Your theory is fine if you also dont mind spending $$ when 300 comes out.. because if you do wait for them to come down in cost you'll probably be waiting for sata 600 at that point . .its a catch-22
