ok so i think i did something stupid. i bought a sata harddrive, only problem is i cant seem to power the unit. i have only 4 pin molex connectors in my case and the harddrive doesnt have any of those connectors. is there an adapter or do i need to buy a new psu

All the newer supplies do have sata headers. Also, you can get adapters if you wish. They usually come with newer mobo's. If you can't find any at your local shop, PM me, and i'll see if i can dig some up.

think radio-suck will have any. i need to get this thing working tomorrow, before i head to school.

Geez I don't really know. You don't have a local computer repair shop to goto? You could always call and ask.

try a compusa if theres one nearby, they usually have them, my hitachi drive though had both power plugs, 4 pin molex, and SATA. But again compusa should have 'em
