Not sure where to post this (power supplies or hard-drive forum)

But here goes.

I own a Antec Earthwatt 500 meaning I only have 4 sata power connectors. Seeing how I max out and need two more I am force to use those sata power converters from the 4pin molex.

I notice the 4pin only has well of course 4 wires while the sata power cables normally has 5 wires from the PSU. Just curious will I be missing out on any special features besides hot-swapping?

I seriously doubt it would make any difference at all. SATA features are determined by the SATA controller and the drive, not the power connector or the number of wires coming from it. You'll be fine.

Huh, I got a [thermaltake :( [it was the only one they had]] trayless hotswap dealie, and it's powered by a 4pin power connector...

You only lose the 3.3v wires that virtually nothing uses (yet; if ever). You're not missing anything; hot swapping should still work fine.

Cool! I've been waiting to actually hot swap that thing for a while, don't wanna lose data...
Thanks!

QFT.

The 3.3V is in the spec, but AFAIK it's not being implemented by any of the drive manufacturers.
