don't know if this is under the right section or not. if not. sorry.

ok. i just got this adapter that connects a IDE harddrive to Sata. when i hooked it up. windows was getting ready to start, but my whole computer restarted. is there any way i can fix this? and i have a 200gb WD drive
 
Well, if it is an IDE Drive, try using the drive without the adapter.
 
Wrong section - Data Storage would be better, and try it without the adapter.
