ok, so i just get a seagate 120GB SATA harddrive and i've got ABIT nFORCE 2 Ultra 400 AN7 motherboard. I enable the onboard SATA in the bios and i set it to boot from cd in order to install the os and when it gets to the screen that says "press enter to install windows XP", i push enter, and nothing happens.

Do i need to install SATA drivers before formatting and installing the OS? If so, i have no idea how to do this, i have the floppy that came with the mobo but i'm pretty much stuck.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but i honestly bought the SATA drive on accident and didn't realize it until i went to build the computer tonight :) and i have no idea how to get it recognized. Power is connected and it is plugged into the onboard sata port.

Thanks in advance!!

When you start to boot off the cd it'll say to press F6 at the bottom to load SCSI or RAID drivers. Press away with the floppy in the drive and later on it will ask you to specific what drivers you want by pressing S.
